RSS Feeds

This sounds like a good idea for people on the go and unable to sit down in front of a computer and leisurely surf their favorite websites.

As for how this can benefit someone who works in a library, it all depends on what their responsibilities are. If they have to order books, I imagine getting RSS feeds on the latest books about specific topics could prove to be helpful.

Flickr Privacy Policies

It's funny that this topic is listed as one topic to talk about. I do some amateur photography and had the opportunity to photograph an event. I was going to load the shots up on Flickr then realized that this might pose a problem with the waiver that I had signed at the event.

The reason why I wanted to use Flickr was because, you can create a link to the photos that you want others to see, without the hassle of uploading to an email.

In the end, I just chose to email them, rather than risk a problem with the people who ran the event.

This is my first blog so if it sounds boring, that's because it probably is. My name is Lena, and I'm a blogger..."Hello Lena"...blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I will be one of the people the rest of you call when you have trouble with these lessons. Truthfully, calling me, will just be the blind leading the blind, but...if nothing else, we can make plans to do lunch and hop over to the Galleria for some shopping. :-D
